Pensions plan: Act now to avoid struggling by on €265 a week
If you don’t have access to a company scheme, or intend to opt out of the government scheme, your main alternative is the Personal Retirement Savings Accounts (PRSA)
The CSO’s most recent report confirms that pensions coverage is nowhere near where it should be. The current contributory state pension in Ireland is €265.30 per week, which translates to about €13,800 per year. If that’s going to be enough, great.
If not, you’re going to have to do something about it.
