Ireland to host leading intl digital media conference
Ireland is to host an education, technology and entertainment conference in Dublin’s Clontarf Castle from October 24-26.
The sixth Sedona Conference has assembled digital and multimedia experts from around the world for an examination of multimedia advancements, digital technologies and educational themes.
It's hoped this will lead to a greater understanding of the future of higher education in the next millennium.
The education sector spends billions of euros every year on IT and the significance of digital media in education is increasing.
The international event brings senior education figures together with digital media practitioners, entertainment companies, equipment providers and leading technology strategists.
This is the first time the Sedona conference has come to Ireland. The conference takes its name from a previous host city - Sedona in Arizona.
Dr Paul Elsner, founder of the Sedona Conference said: "The Sedona Dublin Conference will discuss how media, entertainment, technology and education intersect in one of the worthiest forums one could deliver to a thinking audience."
