No web browser for Nintendo Switch launch

The Nintendo Switch will not feature a web browser when the console launches March 3, as noted in an interview with Nintendo president and CEO Tatsumi Kimishima from Time.

No web browser for Nintendo Switch launch

Speaking of the decision to not include a web browser, Kimishima said:

“Since all of our efforts have gone toward making Switch an amazing dedicated video game platform, it will not support it, at least at launch,”

The lack of a web browser on the Nintendo Switch isn’t too surprising considering the company’s decision to avoid video streaming apps, at least for now.

Nintendo has stressed that while the Switch will not feature video streaming apps or a web browser at launch, both could be added to the console at a later date.
