ZeniMax awarded $500 million in Oculus lawsuit

American media company ZeniMax has been awarded $500 million in its lawsuit against Oculus VR and parent company Facebook, as reported by Polygon.

The lawsuit alleged that former ZeniMax employee John Carmack, the lead programmer of the original Doom, used computer code belonging to ZeniMax to help build the Oculus Rift headset.

Both Facebook and Oculus VR rejected the allegations and instead claimed ZeniMax was trying to profit from the success of the Oculus Rift.
