The new smartphone from BlackBerry, the codenamed BlackBerry ‘Mercury’, is set to feature the same camera sensor found in Google’s line of Pixel smartphones, as noted in an article from Gadgets 360.

The article notes that the BlackBerry Mercury is expected to be ‘the last phone designed and engineered in-house by BlackBerry’, and will feature the Sony IMX378 camera sensor, the same sensor used by Google’s line of Pixel devices.

The article also notes that BlackBerry is believed to be working on a separate mid-range smartphone for the Indonesian market, one which may be made available in other markets at a later stage.
