Apple named world's greenest tech company

Apple has been named the most environmentally-friendly technology company in the world for the third year running by Greenpeace’s Clicking Clean report. Google and Facebook also received commendations from the non-profit environmental organisation for their efforts to reduce greenhouse emissions and increase their use of green energy sources.

Greenpeace gave all three tech companies an ‘A’ grade for their efforts, but Apple were by far the greenest of the three, scoring an impressive 83% on the clean energy index. In comparison, Facebook scored 67% while Google scored 56%.
