There was a Suicide Squad game but it's dead now

Warner Bros Suicide Squad ended up doing OK box office earlier in the year but it was hardly the slam dunk the studio was hoping for - arriving amidst reports of on set issues and being basically a pretty dull film.

There was a Suicide Squad game but it's dead now

Word is that a tie-in game was in the works at Warner Bros Montreal studio, which may or may not have been a co-op multiplayer title featuring the team of anti-heroes. Now it seems that the game has been canned, after at least two years of development.

It was never officially announced but a number of sources have spoken to Kotaku about the cancellation. It seems the content produced to date just wasn't seen as being up to scratch by studio bosses. And it can't help that not only did it miss the release of the movie, but that the reception to the film wasn't that great. Though that hasn't stopped more features from going into production - with spin offs for Deadshot and Harley Quinn on the way.
