John Wick Chapter 2 trailer hits hard

John Wick was a massive surprise when it arrived in cinemas in 2014 and while the sequel won't have the same shock effect it still looks like it has the goods.

The pure action genre has been falling off the radar in recent years. Sure there's the massive Fast and Furious franchise but mid-budget melees used to be a staple of cinema going in the 80s and 90s. Thankfully, shows like John Wick are bringing it back, and the audience is responding in kind.

Keanu Reeves is back in the main role and has done some serious training to bring his gun skills up to scratch. There's a bigger scale and more car stuff, as well as a new European setting.

This is the kind of series which we'd happily watch for many years to come, and Reeves doesn't show any sign of slowing down either. Also starring Common, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane and Ruby Rose, John Wick Chapter 2 is out in February 2017.
