We like to see a nice balance of Practical and Visual Effects, it reminds us of the films we loved growing up, and were an integral part of the original Star Wars.

So much so that first J.J. Abrams made a point of using a mixture of VFX and practical on The Force Awakens, and the sentiment seems to be echoing across the galaxy as Gareth Edwards has chosen to use animatronics, costume, make-up, molds for his new flick Rogue One.
