Youtube To Get 4K Streaming and 4K 360-Degree Streaming

Youtube continues to run ahead of the field with support for 4K, after announcing last month that they will be able to support 4K HDR video on the platform, they have just announced that 4K streaming will now be available also.
Youtube To Get 4K Streaming and 4K 360-Degree Streaming

This week the Video Game Awards will be available for you to stream on Thursday night in the states, Monday morning here.

4K is four times the definition of 1080p hi-def so stronger internet speeds will be needed to broadcast the streams. 4K at 30fps will need internet speeds of 13-33mbps while 4K at 60fps will need 20-49mbps.

This doesn’t mean though that the same speeds will be needed to view the 4K streams as regular internet speed should be enough to enjoy the streams, however if your internet is on the slow side expect some artifacting.

You can stream the VGA’s at 2am on Friday Morning on youtube.
