Ryan Reynolds Says He Was Unhireable After Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds may have starred in one of this years runaway hits Deadpool but there were points in his career where he was sure he would never be a working actor again, let alone a superhero again.

Speaking on Variety’s Actors on Actors, to Empire star Taraji P. Henson, he said “I was pretty much unhireable”

“I represented the death of the superhero for a while,” he said candidly to his colleague Henson. Green Lantern was released in 2011 to widespread disaproval from critics an fans alike.
