Star Wars Rogue One final trailer- some folks are gonna die

Rogue One A Star Wars Story is in cinemas in just two weeks or so, which is incredibly exciting.

Here's how it's shaping up in the latest trailer.

Things have gotten a bit dark before, most notably in Empire and Revenge of the Sith but this is something else entirely. A small band of mercenaries is going up against the might of the Empire without any real hope of coming through alive. And they're doing it to try to save entire planets.

The crossovers with the original trilogy are pretty strong here, as well they should be given the subject matter, and those X-Wings flying in to save the day make for a superb moment. We're hoping that there aren't too many distracting cameos or homages, and that director Gareth Edwards really gets a chance to let it breathe.

Rogue One A Star Wars Story is in Irish cinemas on the 15th of December, 2016.
