Huawei becomes biggest Android phone brand

Huawei has had its sights set on becoming one of the top mobile phone companies in the world, and they're one step closer today.

A report has confirmed that the Chinese manufacturer is the top Android brand, taking over the spot from Samsung. It's the most profitable brand using Google mobile operating system, and that makes it second in the world only to Apple.

This comes from news that the Shenzhen-based company posted profits of around $200 million for the third quarter of 2016, that's a full 2.4 percent of the global smartphone operating profits.
