Watch Dogs 2 multiplayer is back live

Watch Dogs 2 launched last week, bringing a whole heap of improvements over the 2014 original.

Developers Ubisoft did have a bit of a problem at launch with the seamless multiplayer portion of the game, choosing to take it offline to ensure stable performance for players.

Thankfully these modes are now being reintroduced to the game, giving you another reason to check it out. According to Ubisoft, the following elements are now live:

- Invite friends to co-op or search for new co-op partners

- Hack into a rival hacker's world

- Find targets for Bounty Hunts or trigger a bounty on themselves

These game types just crop up while you're wandering the world, so it really is very simple to just team up with someone - or to have them pop into your game to cause some carnage. And of course you can turn these modes off if you're interested in playing solo.

There are a few more pieces which have yet to be made active:

Nearby bounty targets and Prime_Eight rivals will join the player’s world for them to hunt down and hack without going through the Multiplayer App in the smartphone. Players will also encounter friendly Dedsec hackers who can help them complete different Dedsec events throughout San Francisco.

Expect more news on these soon.
