Angel has Fallen- third time for Gerard Butler

Olympus has Fallen and London has Fallen were fun enough throwback action films with a focus on nasty violence and some silly one liners. Well there's more on the way.

Angel has Fallen will once again follow Gerard Butler's Mike Banning, Secret Service agent and a dude who is really good at killing, but this time there's a twist! The change is that Banning is on the run because folks are out to kill him, rather than the wonderfully chinned president played by Aaron Eckhart.

The film is still in the early stages, with a script in the works and no director as yet assigned. Shooting should start before summer 2017 - according to Deadline - and we're going to guess at a mid-2018 release date.

Cheap and cheerful action films are pretty rare these days, so this is one series we're actually pretty happy to see continue. It ain't art, but folks don't always want to see art!
