WATCH A new craft land on Mars today
The ExoMars mission is just getting ready to touch down after a seven month journey to the red planet. It's made up of two parts - the Trace Gas Orbiter (which will be... orbitting) and the Schiaparelli lander (which will be... landing).
Both of these operations are set to take place on Wednesday the 19th of October, and you can watch them live from around 4.30pm GMT right here.
The point of this mission is to find out if the ESA can actually land on the red planet for the first time, as a precursor to a larger mission which will launch in the future. Eventually they hope to delve beneath the surface of the planet to learn more about our close cosmic neighbour. Hopefully all goes well.
