The final Rogue One trailer brings a new hope to the Star Wars universe

The first Star Wars Anthology movie - Rogue One -  is due for release in two months time and it has just released it's biggest and most explosive trailer yet.

The movie has been on the cards for Star Wars fans since before the release of The Force Awakens and it is continuing with the theme of having a strong female lead in Jyn Erso, played by British actress Felicity Jones.

Not much was known about her character, but this latest trailer for Rogue One gives us some background information on the Jyn as well as what her role in the Rebellion will be.

It seems that Jyn's father, played by Mads Mikkelsen is a scientist/engineer who has a direct hand in the construction of the Empire's most devastating weapon - The Death Star.

Very little else is revealed, and let's be honest - we're quite glad of that, but we do get a very brief glimpse at everyone's favourite villain, DARTH VADER!

One thing we can tell from this trailer is that war is going to be a huge part of this story, and any sequels that spawn from it.

What more can we say other than December 16 cannot come quick enough for us Star Wars nerds.
