Pokemon Go adding new features- is it enough to keep players?

Pokemon Go was quite the headline grabber when it launched a few months back, becoming the most downloaded app of the time and capturing the attention of millions around the world.

Since then its been a case of rapidly falling interest as players have realised that... there simply isn't that much to do in the game. Developers Niantic has said previously that only a small portion of their planned content has been released, with grand plans for better battling and tracking coming down the line.

Right now though it's a bit of a slog. Niantic's latest addition is designed to make it easier to find rare Pokemon, you can read more about it below.

It sounds a bit complicated but basically this mechanic finally finds a use for those medals you've been picking up. Of course it's not actually live yet and honestly it doesn't sound like its going to make much a difference.

Elements like being able to battle and trade with your friends or even a fixed way to find the Pokemon you want need to be added soon or Pokemon will just become another boom to bust app in a world filled with those kinds of stories.
