Gears of War 4 out soon- movie confirmed

Gears of War 4 launches on the 11th of October around the world, and we're currently getting some hands on time to put together a full review of the game.

It's quite the blockbuster with plenty of action that would fit in perfectly on the big screen, so todays news doesn't come as a major shock with a feature film confirmed to be in development at Universal.

Now this isn't an entirely new piece of news, with Underworld director Len Wiseman attached to a movie adaptation way back in 2008. Big plans were afoot to create a prequel to the first game in the series focused on Marcus Fenix with a large $100 million budget, but they ultimately faltered.

Now new developers The Coalition have confirmed that the project is back on, with the only detail being that they're now working with Universal. We have no idea on plot or the filmmakers who will bring it to life, and this is vague enough that we'll likely be waiting a good long time until the film actually happens.

In the meantime, there's plenty of action and more than a little heart in Gears of War 4, which is out on the 11th of October, 2016.
