The carnage of the early part of the 20th century was fertile fodder for first person shooters for a long time, until the likes of Modern Warfare brought us right up to date and even pushed events into the future.
Things are starting to get a little sci-fi and silly, so EA Games and DICE decided to get back to a simpler time with Battlefield 1, which launches on the 21st of October, 2016.
