Stunning Gears of War trailer- Nothing Else Matters

The Gears of War series has been going for a decade now but it's fair to say that the story hasn't always been the most memorable. Mostly it's been about improbably beefy sorts doing heroic things because that's what the plot demands.

For Gears 4, that's changing and it's all down to family.

Here's the launch trailer which is haunting and stirring and exactly what you want to see from the series.

Any time a major blockbuster game can manage to feature a Metallic song, we're very much in support. It's also nice to get a glimpse of a world which isn't ravaged by alien invaders, even if it looks like it's not going to last very long.

The main hook here is that you play as J.D. Fenix who is the son of long time protagonist Marcus Fenix and Anya Stroud who has also been in the game since the beginning. Together with his friends, young Fenix has to fight back when a new threat emerges.

Gears of War 4 is out everywhere on the 11th of October, 2016.
