Westeros is safe – Angela Lansbury won't be in Game of Thrones Season 7

Earlier this week, there were rumours that Angela Lansbury would be appearing in Game of Thrones Season 7. Fortunately for the citizens of Westeros, the Murder She Wrote star will not feature in the upcoming season.

Lansbury's representatives told Entertainment Weekly that she won’t be starring in the HBO show in any capacity.

This was a rumour that many people found credible. Not only does she have the acting chops, with an Honorary Oscar to her name, but her Murder She Wrote character has been around a suspicious number of dead bodies.

One person who will make an appearance in Game of Thrones however is Jim Broadbent. Entertainment Weekly reports that he will join Season 7 in a “significant” role.

Game of Thrones Season 7 is expected to premiere next summer.
