VIDEO: The grim and grotesque launch trailer for Mother Russia Bleeds

Mother Russia Bleeds, a 2D side-scrolling brawler from Le Cartel Studio, is now available on PC, OS X, and Linux. Publisher Devolver Digital released a launch trailer for the game, but it's not for the faint of heart.

While it doesn't feature any gameplay footage, it gives you a general idea of what's entailed. You will play as one of four imprisoned Gypsy street fighters using guns, melee weapons, or your bare fists to take down enemies in brutal fashion. The central characters are also addicted to the Russian mafia's drug, Nekro, and can draw upon this for enhanced speed and strength.

Mother Russia Bleeds' release has been reviewed favourably. A PlayStation 4 port is expected later this year.
