Daniel Craig may have been offered $150m to return as Bond

While Daniel Craig sounded like he was done with James Bond during the press rounds for Spectre, Sony has apparently offered him $150m to return for two more films.

According to Radar’s source, Sony is “desperate to secure the actor’s services while they phase in a younger long-term successor.”

“Daniel’s the key for a seamless, safe transition as far as Sony and Bond bosses are concerned, and they’re prepared to pay a king’s ransom to make it happen,” the unspecified source added.

It’s believed that the next two Bond films will be shot practically back-to-back. Clearly time is of the essence for Sony to lock down who will portray Bond in these upcoming projects.

Since the release of Spectre, there has been plenty of speculation as to who would take over from Daniel Craig. Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba’s names have been batted around frequently.

Of course, nothing is certain until a deal is signed and Sony makes an announcement.
