Mackenzie Davis shuts down Deadpool 2 rumours

Recent rumours suggested that Mackenzie Davis would appear in Deadpool 2 as Neena Thurman, otherwise known as Domino. The actress has since responded to these rumours.

Speaking to GQ, Davis said that the rumours aren't true. "No! [laughs] It’s very interesting," Davis told the publication. "People keep sending me printouts being like, 'This is so cool!' And I’m like, 'Right? I also think it’s cool! But it’s not true!'”

She's not completely opposed to the idea, it seems. "I mean. I’d love to keep the ruse going. It’s sort of cool that people think I’m doing Deadpool. But no! I don’t have any news to share. I wish I did," she added.

Domino is the on-again, off-again lover of Cable and a former mercenary. She is also part of the X-Men, indicating that Fox is willing to spring for a few more characters this time around!

Fox announced that it is reuniting the creative team behind Deadpool for the sequel back in April. There will be some fresh blood in the cast list and perhaps it's not too late for Davis. However, Kyle Chandler is the rumored frontrunner for the role.
