Facebook's newest app targets a younger audience

Facebook’s latest app goes back to the social network’s roots. Lifestage, a standalone iOS app, is available to people aged 21 and under.

Facebook's newest app targets a younger audience

The app asks for bits and pieces of info that you’d see in a typical profile, including your likes and dislikes, as well as things like your happy/sad face, and the way you dance. You respond in video form and the app takes these clips and creates a video profile.

Technically, anyone can download Lifestage, but anyone older than 22 will only be able to see their own profile. This app is aimed at high-school students and young college folk, similar to how Facebook started life.
