Huawei releases teaser for IFA 2016 event

IFA 2016 will get underway on September 2, but Huawei is to host an event on September 1. It has released a teaser for its event with the slogan, “Defy Expectations.”

With the event just a week away, there are rumours circulating regarding what we will see at the event. One report, citing an interview with Huawei executive Kevin Ho, states that Huawei will introduce a new sub-brand at IFA.

It’s also tipped that we could see the high-end Huawei Mate 9, a phone designed for women called the Huawei Nova, and possibly a new Huawei smartwatch.

The teaser video doesn’t give much away; it presents clips of people with traits attached to them, but later says, “It’s not about how they see us. It’s about how we see ourselves.” And the teaser closes with the slogan, “Defy Expectations.”

Huawei will have more to share on September 1.
