A new Duke Nukem teaser site has popped up online with a countdown timer that expires in a week's time.
Duke Nukem 3D could be getting a 20th anniversary re-release

It appears as though there could be news of a re-release of Duke Nukem 3D, in addition to some other entries from the franchise, to mark its 20th anniversary. The site features a banner that says "Happy 20th Anniversary," while the fine print mentions a company called Balls of Steel LLC, a name linked to the Duke Nukem pinball spinoff.

The countdown timer expires after Gearbox hosts its "Inside Gearbox Software" panel at PAX West. It's likely that those in attendance will be first to hear about Gearbox's news.

Five Duke Nukem titles disappeared from digital retailers at the end of last year, including Duke Nukem, Duke Nukem 2, Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition, Balls of Steel and Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project. Perhaps Gearbox has big things planned for these titles.
