Pokemon Go helps 3DS sales surge

Nintendo may not have developed or published Pokémon Go, but it's reaping the benefits of the phenomenally popular game. The Nintendo 3DS was the most popular selling system in US retail for the month of July, according to analyst group NPD, despite being five years old.

Nintendo didn't disclose exact figures, but did reveal that sales are up 80% on July 2015. According to Nintendo, this can be attributed to three factors, including the success of Pokémon Go. Clearly, people have gotten a taste for catching 'em all and want a deeper experience.
