This app will change how you read Shakespeare
This year marks the 400th anniversary of Shakespeares Death and a group of actors, including Ian Mckellen, with Heuristic Media to try and help audiences better understand his work.
Launched at the BFI, London in May by McKellen and director Richard Longcrain the app is designed to be used on tablets.
The User is presented with a scrolling text of the play with the actor reading the lines directly into the camera, speaking to the user.
Individual scenes can be downloaded as well as full plays.
37 of Shakespeare's plays will eventually be available on the app as well as extra features such as details notes, Character maps, and a timeline of Shakespeare's life.
