Galaxy Note 7 available to pre-order in Ireland now

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 is now available to pre-order in Ireland, though Samsung warns that there is “unprecedented demand” for the new device.

The Galaxy Note 7 can be pre-ordered from Samsung’s selected carriers – Meteor, Three, and Vodafone – and from Dixons Carphone. Customers who pre-order the device will also get their hands on the new Gear VR headset while stocks last.

Samsung’s Note 7 features a 5.7-inch display, an Octa-core Snapdragon processor, and 4GB RAM. It also boasts a 12MP camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Conor Pierce, Vice President of IT & Mobile for Samsung in the UK and Ireland, Samsung Ireland, commented: “As the success of our Galaxy S7, S7 edge & Gear VR illustrated earlier this year, we know there is high demand for our premium smartphones and the Note7’s combination of refined design and purposeful innovations such as an enhanced S Pen and iris scanning adds to our premium portfolio’s appeal.”

“Market reaction, combined with extremely positive feedback from our carrier and retail partners, indicates that the Note7 will exceed our original sales forecasts for the region by some distance. As such, the number of pre-order units will be limited due to the unprecedented demand, which will enable us to meet as much of this anticipated demand as possible and minimise any potential consumer disappointment when the device goes on general sale next month.”

The Note 7 goes on sale in Europe from September 2. It can be pre-ordered now in Ireland.
