The advent of virtual reality has been slowly coming to life in 2016 with systems like the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift but the real moment is going to come with the arrival of the PlayStation VR in October.

That's when millions of players all over the world are going to step into these virtual spaces for the first time and really see what the future of entertainment is like. And one of those experiences is going to be as Batman.

Batman Arkham VR is an entirely new VR game which lets you become the Bat- here's what happened when fans got hands on at Comic-Con 2016.

It sounds pretty amazing, with the controllers responding to your hand gestures and graphics that help you really step into the role and descend to the Bat cave.

Is it slightly sinister to make people embody the role of an essentially disturbed billionaire who isn't always in control of his actions? Maybe, but it sure does look cool!

Batman Arkham VR is out in October 2016, alongside the new PlayStation VR.
