PS4 Neo could be announced on September 7

Sony will reportedly unveil the PlayStation 4 Neo at an event in New York on September 7.

French outlet Gameblog says that its sources say that the announcement will be made on this date, rather than during the Tokyo Game Show, which is also in September.

"Our sources are clear: Sony [is] planning an event next Wednesday, September 7 in New York. An event that we mentioned large enough to house a major announcement: the PS4 Neo,” it wrote.

While Sony has confirmed that the console is in development, it is yet to reveal when it will be announced or go on sale. The Neo will reportedly include an improved GPU and CPU, which should offer enhanced visuals.

The site also speculates that the Nintendo NX could be unveiled one week later, the week of September 12.
