Apple Watch 2 tipped to have more speed and battery life

Apple is expected to unveil a new Watch in the near future, possibly alongside the new iPhone. A new report gives us some indication as to how it’ll be better than its predecessor.

Apple Watch 2 tipped to have more speed and battery life

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told investors that the Apple Watch 2 will look no different than the original. Instead, it’s under the hood where improvements are being made.

The Apple Watch 2 is expected to feature a GPS chip, a barometer to keep tabs on steps climbed, and a smaller, more efficient chip. This smaller chip will supposedly allow Apple to add a larger battery.

The above specs may apply to one of possibly two variants. Kuo says that another model is planned, which will include the smaller processor, but won’t feature the GPS chip or barometer.

Apple is being tipped to unveil the new iPhone on September 7 and may have Watch news to share as well.
