Niantic's PR firm Fortyseven Communications has said that legendary Pokémon will be revoked from Pokémon Go Trainer accounts.

Over the past few days there have been reports that Pokémon Go players managed to get their hands on a legendary Articuno. It turns out that they did indeed get them, but they shouldn't have and Niantic plans to revoke them from their accounts.

Chris Kramer, VP of Fortyseven Communications, one of two firms that handles Niantic’s public relations, told Geek.com that it was an error that Articunos got out into players' accounts. “We recently noticed that a few Legendary Pokémon got into a few accounts when they shouldn’t have," he said.
