Sabretooth could be back in Wolverine 3
Wolverine 3 is a real thing, it might be rated R (sure...) and it's set to be the swansong of Hugh Jackman as the title character. That's already a lot of information for a film which won't debut for well over a year yet and now we've got another juicy tidbit.
The word is that a familar face may be returning to the cast, someone who haven't seen since the days of X-Men Origins Wolverine. And no it's not Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool - though that could still happen - but rather Sabretooth as played by the rather excellent Liev Schreiber. He was one of the better things in that rather iffy movie and the actor might be able to make it back for Wolvie 3.
"We've talked about it, Hugh’s mentioned it to me. The Old Man Loganstory: that’s appealing. That’s something I can do. Old being the operative word..."
In this version of the story Sabretooth is Wolverine's half brother so it would make sense for him to return to play in this particular story which is set 50 years in the future at a time when superheroes are in trouble of extinction. This isn't any kind of confirmation just yet so we'll have to wait for official word on casting.
Wolverine 3 is set to release in March 2017.
