VIDEO Tom Hardy's Taboo TV series looks terrific

Tom Hardy is one of the finest actors around so when it's revealed that he's the lead in a new TV series, it's time to sit up and take notice. And when the first trailer looks this delicious it definitely has our attention. Here's a glimpse at Taboo.

Hardy is James Keziah Delaney, an Englishman who has been to deepest darkest Africa and returns to London in 1814 after the death of his father. He inherits the family shipping company but finds a host of new enemies in the place he used to call home. The cast also includes Jonathan Pryce and Michael Kelly and the concept was dreamt up by Hardy and his actual dad Chips Hardy - which is his real name. It was also created by Steven Knight, who directed Hardy in the rather interesting movie Locke a couple of years back.

Taboo is being made by FX as an eight part miniseries and doesn't yet have a release date but will bow some time in 2017.
