xXx 3 has a release date

So who was asking for another xXx sequel? Was it you? Well congratulations because it's happening.

Unlikely action star Vin Diesel is set to return as Xander Cage, despite the fact that he was kinda killed off on a DVD extra to make way for Ice Cube to be the lead in the second film. We're assuming that will never be referenced at all ever again but we're still not totally sure why we're getting a sequel at all.

Isn't Diesel busy enough keeping the Fast and Furious show on the road while sometimes dipping into the Riddick world? He's got a voice role in a Marvel movie now folks, he's legit. It seems the man just likes to be busy and despite there being no real fans of xXx back when it debuted way back in 2002 and even less interest now the film is set to arrive in cinemas on the 20th of January 2017.
