Sony launches X series of high end smart phones

Sony Mobile has just announced a new suite of smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2016, bid welcome to the X range.

Sony launches X series of high end smart phones

There are three new phones in the offing, the Xperia X, Xperia XA and Xperia X Performance. Each phone has a 5 inch screen with the XA at 720p while the others are 1080p panels. There's a spread here across price ranges - the Performance is the most expensive and boasts a brushed metal back, waterproof body and a Snapdragon 820 processor while the XA is at the upper end of the budget market and includes a 13 megapixel camera and a delightful design.

The X and Performane include Sony's class leading 23 megapixel camera sensors with all the latest tech and dedicated shutter buttons. Sony has been doing great work in the field of imaging in recent years and we're expecting these phones to follow suit, while also adding in new technology in the form of predictive hybrid autofocus - that's intended to lock onto moving objects and predict where they're going to be for razor sharp focus everytime.
