VIDEO: James Corden auditions to be Deadpool's sidekick

James Corden wants to be Deadpool's (Ryan Reynolds) sidekick and has a few ideas as to how it could work. None of them involve singing.

While Deadpool is traditionally regarded to be a solo character, James Corden believes that he could be even better with an added sidekick. And, of course, he has a few ideas that he is willing to play. Apparently, being the host of The Late Late Show and doing car karaoke with celebrities isn't enough to keep Corden occupied anymore.

Corden dons a variety of wacky outfits as he attempts to convince Ryan Reynolds that he is the perfect partner. Some highlights include Rave-y Crockett (think Davey Crockett at a rave) and the homocidal octopus, Tend-to-kill. But none of his ideas hit home with Reynolds; he's a tough man to convice.

Luckily, Reynolds is willing to play ball and has an idea of his own. The strange thing is, we could actually see it working!

Check out Corden's audition with Reynolds playing the harsh judge in this fantastic sketch.
