What the heck is 10 Cloverfield Lane? This latest trailer gives you a few more clues.

So Mary Elizabeth Winstead is having a tough day - she's been in a car crash and has woken up with her leg all mangled and handcuffed to a pipe in some kind of dungeon. She naturally expects the worst but things are a whole lot more complicated. She's the captive of John Goodman but he claims that she has actually been saved from some terrible threat outside.

It's a shame that the promos to date have been so open about the fact that she escapes at some point, surely this is the main goal of the movie and that reveal is a bit of a spoiler? Or maybe a good chunk of the film takes place on the surface. We still don't know what creatures are lurking and that's going to be part of the fun of checking this out in cinemas.

10 Cloverfield Lane is out in March 2016.
