Brooklyn TV show coming - all about the boarding house

Saoirse Ronan starring Brooklyn is up for three Oscars at the 2016 awards, including Best Film and Best Actress and it's exciting times for Irish cinema. The film has also been a huge success with audiences around the world and those fans will get to see more of it with news that the movie will be getting its on TV show spin off.

According to Screen International, the Brooklyn series will focus on the boarding house run by Julie Walters' character in the film. It's hoped that the actress will come back to the part on the small screen as Mrs Keogh, a caring woman who looks after young Irish, English and American girls who are new to the big city.
