Taylor Swift is getting her very own mobile game
Swift will work with free-to-play developer Glu Mobile as part of a multi-year partnership to develop and create a new, "one-of-a-kind digital gaming experience."
Glu Chairman and CEO, Niccolo de Masi, highlighted why this partnership is so valuable to the company, saying that she will bring more than 227 million social followers with her.
"We realize that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience. Glu is equally committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor's unique creativity. Accordingly, we will spend the required development time to ensure this innovation is achieved," de Masi added.
Glu Mobile has had incredible success with Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. It tried to replicate this with the release of Katy Perry Pop, but that's yet to work out as hoped. Glu Mobile still has Britney Spears' and Nicki Minaj's games to come as well as Taylor Swift's, so one dud may not be all that bad.
