Apple could soon make TV shows
The tech giant has been losing ground to other services like Netflix and Amazon in recent years as they start to corner the market on original content, most of which just won't be seen on another platform. Netflix in particular has had huge success in this field, taking the money earned from subscriptions and putting it straight into high quality entertainment like House of Cards, Daredevil, Orange is the New Black, Sense8, Jessica Jones, Master of None, F is for Family, Narcos, BoJack Horseman, Bloodline and more. Amazon has been stepping up its act as well with Transparent and The Man in the High Castle while other providers like Hulu are also getting in on the action.
In a way its strange that Apple hasn't made this leap already - they crucially already have the platform, the audience and the cash. It's true that these kinds of projects take a significant amount of time to put together, and the level of quality which is already out there makes it all the more daunting. But the word is that the company is working to get something into production soon, and an official annoucement is coming soon.
