Jurassic World had some mighty impressive special effects and this video reel breaks down the work done by Industrial Light and Magic

Jurassic World brought those dinosaurs back once again for a massively successful big screen outing. And a huge part of that was the impressive visual effects by veterans Industrial Light and Magic. This video shows the incredible work that was put in creating digital monsters and the entire park for people to have a really tough time in.

Despite all this effort and the fact that the film is already one of the highest grossing of all time, Jurassic World failed to earn a nomination for best visual effects at the 2016 Oscars. That seems like a pretty strange snub, with the likes of Ex Machina, Star Wars, The Martian, The Revenant and Mad Max Fury Road recognised. Would we take one of these away? Not necessarily, and it's great to see a smaller film like Ex Machina playing in that crowd. Some of the CG in The Revenant was a little screwy.
