VIDEO: Batman v Superman - heroes get angry
That's pretty early for a summer event movie, so Warner Bros is doing their utmost to get folks ready for this superhero showdown. The latest angle is getting people to decide which of the two they are rooting for and that's reflected in to TV spots today, one which is more about Superman, the other focussing on Batman/Bruce Wayne.
There's some pretty awkward dialogue in the first spot, Superman doesn't sound at all interested or menacing when he's warning Batman at the end. The Wayne spot is better - we've got a clear idea of why he's annoyed at the man in the red cape (the destruction of Metropolis is a pretty good reason) and we get to see a little more of the conversation between Ben Affleck and the wonderful Jeremy Irons.
Really, it's hard to imagine what Batman could do to get Superman so riled up. He has the powers of a god and no real reason to even interact with a lowly human on this level, so it's going to take a lot to convince him to go to war with a character who he could squish or set on fire with a moments thought. Let's hope the conflict sells on the big screen.
