VIDEO: BAFTA nominated The Survivalist trailer

The Survivalist is a film about a dystopian near future where one man lives his life alone, until he is forced to open up his world.

Here's the pulse pounding first trailer.

It looks like really strong stuff from first time feature director Stephen Fingleton, and the film is already picking up strong reviews as well as a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding Debut. It was shot in Northern Ireland where the stripped back dystopia was created on a small budget, making the most of a few locations and focussing on a small cast including Martin McCann (71, Killing Bono).

The Survivalist is in cinemas in Ireland on the 12th of February 2016.
