Quantic Dream founder David Cage said that the legendary David Bowie had "an incredible aura" when he first entered the room at their first meeting to discuss Bowie's potential involvement in Omikron: The Nomad Soul.

Cage reflected upon that meeting and their subsequent work in a story shared with Game Informer. He said that Bowie was attentive over the course of their lengthy meeting before rejecting Quantic Dream's request to use Heroes in the upcoming game.

"No, I am not going to give you an old song," Bowie said, " I am going to write an album for you guys.” Not only did Bowie write ten songs for the game, but he played two roles, and recorded concerts with his bands in motion capture that players could discover in game.
