Lenny Abrahamson set for IFI screening of Room in January

Room opens in Irish cinemas on the 15th of January and the filmmaker will be attending the opening night at the IFI to participate in a Q&A. He's already had local success with the likes of Adam & Joe, Garage and What Richard Did, moving onto the international scene with Frank a couple of years ago. But Room has exploded like nothing before, with the adaptation from Emma Donoghue's book already tipped for Oscars.

It's the story of a young boy called Jack and his mother (played by Brie Larson) and their unusual life within the confines of a tiny world. It's hard to get across in words, so check out the trailer.
