Now that Star Wars is back in cinemas, it may be time for another parody. Comedy legend Mel Brooks has confirmed that a sequel to 1987's Spaceballs is in development.

It's only in the early stages at the moment, though it has a tentative title: Spaceballs: The Search for More Money. However, Brooks hopes to start filming in early 2016.

Brooks has previously said that he wants to make a sequel, hopefully with the surviving members of the original cast. Could we see the long-awaited return of Rick Moranis? Since his acting hiatus he has clarified that he hasn't retired, he's just more selective about roles. Perhaps the call of the Schwartz will be too great for him to turn down.
